“It Was A Bright Beautiful Autumn Day, With Air Like Cider & A Sky So Blue You Could Drown In It.”
Let’s Blog Over Mulled Cider…
It’s officially fall, apples and pumpkins are everywhere, and it is just a bit chilly here in Houston. That never stops Skylar and Aven from asking when I’m going to bake a loaf of pumpkin bread or a batch of some mulled cider. I’m obsessed with this time of the year so I don’t mind.
This recipe is classic and with the cold here (temporarily) this will be sure to warm you up. I make it in the crock pot and I allow it to stay warm all day so everyone can help themselves all day. It makes your home smell i n c r e d i b l e. A guaranteed crowd pleaser for all. Keep rum or brandy nearby for those who need it.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Apple Cider
- Mulling Spices
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Blood Oranges
- Turn your crockpot on low for about 6 hours. Add your cider. Add your mulling spices and cinnamon sticks. Stir, and let it warm up. Add your apples, and blood oranges.
Since this is kid friendly I don’t add any liquor to it. However, if you’d like to add some do so per serving.
Happy Fall Everyone!
