“I Think I Have Monogamy. I Caught It From You People.” ~ Samantha Jones
Let’s Blog Over Wedding Number One…
I’m not going to go super in depth about this because we still have a major wedding to plan, but our first wedding was p e r f e c t. Many of you saw that we got our marriage license a little over a month ago and wanted to know the details. As much as we wanted to keep this to ourselves for awhile word got out, the questions started pouring in, and I’m finally ready to answer them.
WHY 2 WEDDINGS?
You see a lot of people these days getting married and having a ceremony later. Ralph and I are no different. I don’t know their reasons but I can definitely tell you ours. Ralph and I are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to this. I wanted to elope, he wanted a wedding. I like small and intimate, he wants big and celebratory. So we decided to do both.
THE DETAILS
We got married on a weekday at our place. We decorated our entire place with white candles and white roses. There were flowers and candles literally everywhere.
Renee and I decided on a low bun for the day, but we curled my hair first. We wanted my hair to be able to fall into loose waves and soft curls once I took it down.
Because it was a fall wedding I wanted a more dramatic look. A deep red lip to make my dress pop. Brandi understood and did her magic. The pictures do not do this beat justice.
I am in l o v e with lace. I actually bought three gowns. I wore a beautiful fitted gown, and a Michael Costello Bridal Gown (pictured) to change into for dinner and hanging out with our guests.
My shoes were gold animal print Jimmy Choo heels, and for my more casual gown I wore Silver sandal heels made my Steve Madden.
Our “1st Ceremony” rings are by Cartier.
Our guests drank Armand de Brignac champagne and Segura Vuidas Champagne. They dined on an assortment of small dishes.
My friend Asianna (the ultimate cake maker) made our cake. French vanilla with a buttercream icing decorated with flowers.
Samantha Anne, General Counsel, and amazing friend – married us.
I won’t go too crazy with the photos. There’s so much more that I’m so excited to share with all of you.
I hope I was able to answer most of your questions.
Sincerely Signed,
Mrs. Sampson
