“If Life Gives You Limes Make Margaritas.” ~ Jimmy Buffet
Let’s Blog Over Margaritas…
So my best friend Trashon makes the best margaritas ever. Potent, but amazing. Thinking about it he makes the best alcoholic anything. So many stories there. So many. Trashon is like me. He takes pride in his kitchen, his cooking, and his recipes. So I had to not only pay close attention to what he was doing, but once I forgot, I had to go home and perfect this. I can’t even explain to you how many times I made Ralph drink margaritas until we both agreed my version was perfect.
Making this in a huge batch is tons of work because you will literally squeeze the limes into a big pitcher of lime juice. Today I’m keeping it simple. We are only making enough for one. If you need to make more then squeeze at your own risk. However, it’s worth the work. The fresh citrus makes all of the difference. The Agave Nectar is the cherry on top.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
-
1 1⁄2 ounces of good silver tequila
-
1⁄2 ounce of fresh lime juice
-
1⁄2 ounce of fresh lemon juice
-
1⁄2 ounce agave nectar
-
1⁄2 ounce triple sec or 1/2 ounce other orange-flavored liqueur
-
splash of fresh tangerine juice or clementine
