“Children See Magic Because They Look For It.” ~ Christopher Moore
Let’s Blog Over Kid Friendly Snacks…
I don’t have any little kids, but I have a ton of cousins and little friends that I’m surrounded by. It’s always so interesting to see the world in the eyes of the child. There are no seven wonders in their eyes. More like seven million.
Can I just start off by saying things have been quiet in my home. I’ve been the only one here until the occasional baby, family or friends stop by. Most recently my two little cousins came over. They’re 5 & 6. They were hungry but they said “I want to eat snacks like Skylar & Aven!” For a second I was confused… Until I asked them what they meant. The little guy says “The snacks they eat after school.” I realized he meant happy hour snacks. We always go to happy hour after school. They’re teenagers so Skylar and Aven are either with their friends at some restaurant after school, or with me at happy hour.
Parents are at home, entertaining and homeschooling their children, and the last thing they should be worried about is snacks. I prefer to serve things as healthy as I can, but also appealing to the kids. This kid friendly charcuterie board is one that you could also make ahead of time and lay out for your littles.
